1. Who we are

holr is operated by Fishybear, LLC ("Fishybear," "we," "us"). This policy explains how we handle information when you use the holr apps for iPhone, Apple Watch, and Android, and the website at holr.in (together, the "Service").

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account info: email address, or the details provided by Sign in with Apple (which may be a private relay email). Display name and profile photo if you add them.
• Content you post: live posts, Memories, Drops, Quick Posts, likes, votes, and check-ins.
• Connections: people you add to your Crew or Favorites, and people you block.
• Reports and support: content you report and messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Precise location: used to place your posts and show you the feed within your listening radius. With your permission, location may also be used while the app is in the background to support check-ins and nearby alerts. You can change this anytime in your device settings.
• Device and diagnostics: device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance data.
• Identifiers: an account ID and a push notification token (only if you turn on notifications).
• Usage data: basic in-app activity, such as features used, to improve the Service.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We never receive your full payment card details. We receive a transaction record so we can deliver what you bought.

3. What other users can see

• Your display name, profile photo, and posts are visible to people within range of where you posted, and to people using Listen to browse that area.
• A post shows others that you were near that place at that time. We do not show other users your exact coordinates.
• Memories stay at a location and can be seen by future visitors until removed.
• Crew and Favorites can see your check-ins.

Think before you post. Do not share your home address or anything you want to keep private.

4. How we use information

• Run the Service: show nearby feeds, deliver posts, and support Crew, Favorites, check-ins, and Quick Posts.
• Keep holr safe: review reports, remove content, block abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• Send notifications you turned on.
• Deliver purchases and provide support.
• Fix bugs, prevent fraud, and improve the app.
• Comply with the law.

We do not use your information for third-party targeted advertising, and we do not sell it.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. How long we keep data

• Account data: kept while your account is active.
• Live posts: kept for a limited period, or until deleted.
• Memories: kept until you or we remove them.
• After you delete your account: your data is deleted within 30 days, except limited records we must keep for legal, safety, or fraud reasons.

7. Your choices and rights

• Delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account.
• Location: change or turn off in your device settings. holr's core features need location to work.
• Notifications: off by default. Turn on or off in the app or device settings.
• Delete a post at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your data, and to opt out of sale, sharing for targeted ads, or profiling. We do not sell, share for targeted ads, or profile, but you may still make a request.

This includes rights under U.S. state privacy laws (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and others) and, for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the GDPR.

Email holr.info@gmail.com to make a request. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by law (usually 30 to 45 days). You can use an authorized agent. You can appeal a denied request by replying to our decision. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.

California "notice at collection"

In the past 12 months we collected: identifiers, precise geolocation (sensitive personal information), user content, internet or device activity, and purchase records. We use them only for the purposes in Section 4. We do not sell or share personal information, and we use sensitive information only to provide the Service.

EEA, UK, and Swiss users

Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running the Service), legitimate interests (safety, security, improvement), consent (location and notifications, which you can withdraw), and legal obligation. Your data is processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

holr is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we delete it. Users 13 to 17 should use holr with a parent or guardian's permission. Parents can contact us to have a child's account removed.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and Firebase security rules to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Do Not Track and cookies

The holr app does not use advertising cookies or cross-app tracking. The holr.in website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the app before they take effect. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
